    together to plan event.
  • Draw up plans under guidelines of Curriculum for
    Excellence.

Role of Enterprise Co-ordinator
  • Ashlings own Drama expertise influenced the
    proceedings.
  • Used her enterprise group to organise lighting,
    music, sound system, (mics supplied by Music
    dept.)
  • Group organised ticketing of event to ensure
    crowd control.
  • Allowed the group freedom supervised at a
    distance!

What did pupils gain from this?
  • Via Citizenship input to PSHE, learned how
    elections work, and how to vote.
  • Enhanced learning of Social subjects.
  • Speech writing and public speaking enhanced
    language skills.
  • On election day, Maths dept did count and
    analysed results hands-on statistics!
  • Learned the value of people power.
  • Witnessed co-operation of staff ethos.

    reach an audience.

  • Displays of event throughout school and local

Future Projects
  • We intend to hold a fashion show in aid of the
    Alexandra Stark Foundation
  • S5/6 Young Enterprise Group have taken on the
    responsibility of managing the event.
  • S5 classes will assist them in the organisation.

Getting Started
  • The pupils are already very enthusiastic about
    this event and have contacted several companies
    to ask for support.
  • This is an event that will involve the wider
    community whilst also raising awareness of this
    charity.
  • We hope to gain the support of the whole school
    with departments contributing where possible.
