SYA STORM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
  • The SYA STORM is CHAMPION of the 2009 Jefferson
    Cup held in Richmond, Virginia. They played
    awesome competition from 5 different states
    consisting of Massachusetts, New York,
    Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. The SYA
    STORM advanced to the semi final game by winning
    their preliminary flight with 2 wins and 1 tie.
    They won the semi final against an awesome NY HBC
    Impact team advancing to the Championship game
    where they defeated Loudoun Red 98 in overtime
    play. Being one of the top tournaments in the
    nation this was a great accomplishment!!!
  • The SYA STORM is CHAMPION of the 2009 Soccer
    Academy Winter Fiesta League Play. They had 6
    wins and 1 tie with 45 goals for and 13 goals
    against. Great job girls!
  • The SYA STORM is FINALIST of the 2009 Matthews
    Invitational in Charlotte, North Carolina. They
    had 3 wins in their flight schedule with 19 goals
    for and 0 goals against. They advanced to the
    Championship Game and lost 2 to 1 to a very good
    James Island Luna-Chicks team from South
    Carolina. Great job in the Championship game by
    both teams!
  • The SYA STORM finish their WAGS Fall 2008 season
    undefeated! The team finished 9-0-0 with 50
    goals for and only allowing 1 goal all season.
    They also recorded 8 shutouts during the season.
    Great effort girls!

SYA STORM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
  • The SYA STORM is CHAMPION of the 2008 Richmond
    Cup Tournament in Richmond, Virginia. The SYA
    STORM went undefeated in their first day of the
    tournament scoring 17 goals with 2 goals against
    including a shut out. The tournament was
    canceled early as a result of weather and the SYA
    STORM was awarded the Championship. With two new
    players added to the team and one guest player
    the girls didn't appear to miss a beat!
  • The SYA STORM is CHAMPION of the 2008 Beach 5
    Sand Soccer Tournament in Ocean City, Maryland.
    The SYA STORM went undefeated winning all four
    games in the tournament scoring 23 goals and just
    allowing three goals against. Great championship
    game against a very good Bethesda, Maryland team.
    Awesome job by the girls picking up the beach
    style soccer play!
  • The SYA STORM finish their WAGS Spring 2008
    season undefeated! The team continued their
    strong team play and individual player
    development and now look forward to the summer
    break! The girls deserve the time off and August
    will be here before you know it!
  • The SYA STORM is FINALIST of the 2008 Virginian
    Tournament. The SYA STORM went undefeated in
    their preliminary round with three wins and then
    won a hard fault game in overtime against BRYC
    Lightning in the semi championship game. The SYA
    STORM went on to play the championship game
    against an awesome NVSC Majestics team losing 0
    to 1 on a goal in the 7 minute mark of the first
    half. Awesome tournament play girls!

  • The SYA STORM is CHAMPION of the 2008 FPYC
    Liberty Cup Tournament. The SYA STORM went
    undefeated winning all four games in the
    tournament scoring 21 goals and just allowing two
    goals against. Great championship game against a
    very good and tough BRYC Lightning team. Awesome
    50/50 play and ball control girls!
  • The SYA STORM is CHAMPION of the 2007 Columbia
    Fall Classic Tournament. The SYA STORM went
    undefeated winning all four games in the
    tournament against two of the best teams from
    Maryland. Awesome hustle and determination
    girls!
  • The SYA STORM wrapped up their final game of the
    WAGS season winning with superb passing and ball
    control. They finish their Fall 2007 WAGS season
    with an undefeated record of 9 - 0 - 0 with 82
    goals for and 0 goals against. Great job girls!
  • The SYA STORM is FINALIST of the Columbus Day
    Weekend 2007 Battlefield Classic Tournament.
    Their grueling four game schedule in 21 hours was
    unmatched by their competitor
