How did the project start?
Students work in small teams on technically
challenging open-ended design projects, in the
context of direct accountability to stakeholders
(Segway and other project sponsors, project
co-developers and/or community sponsors) and
design for social value. Students define and
implement functional prototypes, business
summary, and defend the environmental,
manufacturability, and the performance aspects of
their design decisions.
