Lab work

• Industry related research typically requires
  pre-set lab work.
• Investigator initiated studies that require lab
  work, will have to prepare and arrange for lab
  pick up.
• A sharing agreement with the Diagnostic care
  line can be set at the VA by calling Wanda Thomas
  at extension 7402.
• Or arrange for a private lab (Quest
  Diagnostics) to draw lab. This maybe an option if
  funds are tight. They will assist you in setting
  up an account.
• Quest Diagnostics 1-800-669-6605
• If your study requires blood work outside of
  the study parameters , then the study must pay
  for that work.

EKGs at the VA

• If a patient requires an EKG here at the VA and
  you do not have the equipment to do the EKG a
  sharing agreement needs to be set up.
• Call Wanda Thomas at extension 7402
• The research protocol should pay for all test
  done for patients in their research study.
