4Wireless Keyboard and Gyro Mouse
Please make sure the mouse is being charged while
not in use. If you find it dead, please call
X1500 and we will swap the battery. Mice and
keyboards are not interchangeable between rooms.

Blank the screen
Place the mouse on the table and use it as a
typical mouse. The scroll wheel can be used to
control MS-PowerPoint slides
6Gyro Mouse
You can use the mouse as a pointer. Holding the
button below the mouse and swiveling your wrist
will move the mouse curser.
7Using the Extron Controller
The Extron controller is used to turn on/off the
projector, select what device we want to display
and adjust the speaker volume. You will find the
Exton controller mounted to the side of each
black box.

8Computer Projection Classroom Computer
- Turn on projector using control panel on black
box by pressing Display ON button. - Press PC button on control panel.
- Turn on computer located inside black box.
- Log on to computer using your CSUN username and
password. - When finished, turn off computer and projector.
- Please make sure wireless keyboard is returned to
the drawer and wireless mouse is being charged. - Make sure the cabinet is locked before leaving
9Tips
- Use your campus U-Drive to save your data, do not
save to computer. - USB drives are easy to use and accessible on the
computers front panel. - You have an option to use your own wireless
device such as laser pointers, wireless mice or
any USB device. - If you find the wireless mouse discharged, place
it back on the charge cradle and wait 15 minutes
before use. Or please call x1500 and someone will
swap out the battery. - Swapping wireless keyboards and gyro mice between
classrooms will not work. - The system will log you off in 10 minutes of non
use. You may prevent this by clicking on Disable
screensaver from the Start menu. - For immediate assistant, please contact X1500 or
dial 818-677-1500. -
10Computer Projection Laptop Computer
- Turn on Projector using control panel on black
box by pressing Display ON button. - Press Doc/Laptop button on control panel.
- Connect laptop computer to VGA input adjacent to
control panel. If you do not have your own VGA
cable, a cable is located inside the drawer of
the black box. If you need sound please plug in
the audio cable. - You may have to restart your Laptop to properly
display to the projector. - If laptop display does not appear on projection
screen, please refer to your laptops
documentation. - When finished, please make sure black box door is
locked and projector is turned off.

- Turn on projector using control panel on black
box by pressing Display ON button. - Press Doc/Laptop button on control panel.
- Take document camera out of black box and place
on desk. - Plug VGA cable attached to document camera into
VGA input adjacent to control panel. - Turn on document camera. Use controls on document
camera to manage zoom and focus functions. - After use, turn off document camera (press power
for 2 seconds), unplug VGA cable and return to
black box. - Tip You will need to fold the document so that
it fits inside the black box. Once the camera is
inside, snake in the cable. Please do not twist

- Note Using the document cameras USB port will
enable you to take snap shots and record videos
of your presentation. - Turn on projector using control panel on black
box by pressing Display ON button. - Press PC button on control panel. Power on the
computer and log in. - Take document camera out of black box and place
on desk. - Plug the USB cable to the computers USB port
- Turn on document camera. Use controls on document
camera to manage zoom and focus functions. - In MS Windows desktop click on ImageMate.
- After use, turn off document camera (press power
for 2 seconds), unplug VGA cable and return to
black box. Shut down the computer. - Tip You will need to fold the document so that
it fits inside the black box. Once the camera is
inside, snake in the cable. Please do not twist

16DVD/VHS Playback
- Press DVD/VCR button on control panel.
- Turn on DVD/VHS player, load disc or tape and
play. - Turn on Projector using control panel on black
box by pressing Display ON button. - Adjust volume on control panel.
- The VCR/DVD remote is located inside the drawer
17CD Playback
- Turn on Projector using control panel on black
box by pressing Display ON button. - Press DVD/VCR button on control panel on black
box. - Turn on DVD/VHS player, load CD and play.
- Adjust volume on control panel.

- Turn on Projector using control panel on black
box by pressing Display ON button. - Press DVD/VCR button on control panel.
- Turn on DVD/VHS player and tune to assigned
channel. - Use telephone and remote control instructions to
control playback. - Adjust volume on control panel.
19Closed Caption Decoder
- To enable closed captioning, press the CC ON/OFF
button on the control panel button will light
up. - To disable closed captioning, press the CC ON/OFF
button on the control panel.
