2Tokyo is a city located in the country of Japan.
Japan is a country off the eastern coast of Asia.
3More than 125,000,000 people live on the chain of
islands that make up Japan. Tokyo, the capital
city of Japan, has nearly 8,000,000 people.
4The land in Tokyo is made up of sandy beaches,
volcanic islands, and mountains.
5Some animals that live in this part of the world
are tigers, hippopotamuses, water buffalo, and
elephants.
6The Japanese people enjoy eating many unusual
foods such as sushi. This is raw seafood such as
fish, octopus, or squid mixed with rice.
7There are many places to have fun in Tokyo. One
of the most popular is the Tokyo Disney Resort.
In Korakuen Park roller coasters whiz over
rooftops in the city. The second largest ferris
wheels in the world are located on Tokyo Bay.
8One of the most beautiful bridges in the world
called The Rainbow Bridge is located in Tokyo.
9Some of the people of Japan are fishermen.
Oysters are harvested and valuable pearls are
often found in them.
10Tokyo has the most efficient transportation
system in the world. It includes subways,
planes, and bus lines.
11The Japanese designers are known for taking
pieces of electronic equipment and making them
smaller, thinner, lighter, and more efficient.
12Japans national sport is Sumo wrestling. Other
sports enjoyed by the Japanese people are
Karate, Judo, Akido, Kyudo Japanese archery.
Baseball and soccer are also popular sports.
