It was a normal day at Belle Valley School.

After lunch that day, the 3rd grade class ran
onto the playground to enjoy their recess!

Angela you are slow! You cant cross the
monkey bars as good as I can! Youre fat
hahahaha
What?

Angela walked away from Jasmine to go swing by
herself. She was sad and her feelings were
hurt.

That night Angela told her mom what had happened
at school with Jasmine.
It will be alright dear, you are a wonderful and
unique girl and you shouldnt listen to the bad
things that other people say about you.

As the week went on Angela and Jasmine were no
longer friends. Angela was really bothered by
what Jasmine said because it hurt her
feelings. However, Angela made many new friends
throughout the year. Eventually Angela forgave
Jasmine for the hateful comment, but her
self-esteem was lowered. She thought that
others may think badly of her too

One year later, Angela was now in 4th grade and
she has grown up and learned to be happy with
herself and appearance.

As Angela thinks to herself, she realizes that
she has overcome this hurtful issue with the
help of her friends and family who love and
appreciate her for who she is! She knows she
is lucky, and that it does not matter what
people think of her because she is a great
person. She is who she isand no one can
change that!
