SCOOP
Sustainable Consultations Of Office Practices

• Collaboration of student groups Chico Green
  Campus Program, Net Impact, AS Sustainability,
  and help from the Institute for Sustainble
  Development..

• SCOOP began conducting sustainable office
  consultations in the spring of 2008.
• The SCOOP team is now comprised of one paid
  director, three staff advisors, four student
  intern coordinators, and a handful of student
  consultants.

SCOOP Components

• Assess four different areas
• Energy, Health, Recycling, and Purchasing
• We look at computers, copiers, faxes, printers,
  recycling, paper, lighting, energy, waste, and
  health
• A group of interns assess the office and its
  practices
• Score rating
• Energy audit
• Afterwards the interns consult the office
• Recommendations report
• Walk-through
• Staff de-briefing
• Staff Council
• Recognize outstanding offices

  with the HR department in developing staff
  training.
• SCOOP has been institutionalized at Chico State
  working with staff council.
