features of this online collection, as well as
how to use the site
But before we begin, allow us to explain a few

The Rules In order to view the tutorial in the
proper order, please use the mouse and not the
keyboard. The entire tutorial can be completed
using only the mouse. Some parts of the tutorial
are informational and require no action from you.
You will be prompted to click the mouse to
advance the slide, otherwise the tutorial will
run automatically. Other sections of the tutorial
are interactive, and require you to perform
certain actions in order to advance. The red
arrows indicate where you are supposed to click.

This screen lists all of the encyclopedias
available through the site. They are ordered
alphabetically by title. When you are ready,
click on the Agropedia Collection to begin.

This is the main page of the Agropedia
Collection. From here, we can enter any of the
six encyclopedias that make up the collection.
From the encyclopedias main page, we can see
what others have to say about the product. We can
also jump to various points on the page by
following the links in bold.
Lets look at the Encyclopedia of Agricultural,
Food, and Biological Engineering. Click the cover
to enter.

Lets perform a search.
First, well limit our search. Use the pulldown
menu to select and click on the keyword option
Next, select stem to search for all variants of
our search term. For example, hybridization
will search for hybrid, hybridize, etc.
The Subject option lets us further refine the
search. Each subject also allows you to choose a
subtopic, if one is available, until youve made
up to four selections.
For now, well keep the search fairly broad.
Just click to add this to the parameters
Now, modify the search to look through a specific
publication.
For now, well limit our search to the Agropedia
collection
