- The business plan should follow the outline
given as much as possible address each of the
seven areas with information specific to each
area (do not repeat data from one section in
another.

- Finalists will get 10 to 15 minutes to go over
the main points of their business idea and recap
their financial requirements - They are all asked how the library helped them
and how they will use the winnings - Each finalist is given a set of 3 or 4 questions
that pertain only to their business two weeks
before the date of their presentation.

- Start Early
- Think far in advance what needs to be said
- Collect facts from usual, and unusual sources,
then sleep on the ideas - Anticipate questions the judges may ask

- Identify the issues you plan to address
(brainstorm, then trim back) - Arrange issues in logical sequence (written out
one idea per index card or slide) - Remember retention of info by an audience is
reduced as time passes. Put important points
first.

- Organize with paper and pencil
- (index cards are your friends)
- For Powerpointers
- All of your content goes in the notes section of
your presentation, then build the slide . - Avoid Death By Powerpoint (10/20/30 rule)
