Aims

• To enable disabled people to have access to sport
  and recreational opportunities across Bradford
• To increase participation
• To support local community groups and clubs
• To support athlete, volunteer and coach
  development
• To increase choice and opportunities through
  sport from grassroots to elite levels of
  participation
• To provide year round training and competition
  for disabled people.

Playground to podium

• Working with Local SSP Sport Development Unit
• Oakbank SSP Sensational Multi Skills Event
• Talent ID of young disabled people that are
  integrated in to mainstream schools.
• BDSL Oakbank SSP bid to local Co-op group for
  9k
• Successful Bid
• New Paralympic Club based at Greenhead School on
  the same evening as Keighley Craven Junior
  Athletics Club.

Concerns

• The Youth Sport Trust given responsibility for
  grassroots .
• How will voluntary clubs and groups receive
  funding to support local initiatives that are
  already in place?
• That disability sport is not high on the agenda
  with Sport Development Officers or CSC.
