the shores of the Pacific Ocean
- Five of Perus neighboring countries are
Colombia, Ecuador, - Chili, Bolivia, and Brazil.
3Geographic Features of Peru
- Peru can be divided into three major regions
- Costa (coast)- Which is the Pacific Coastline
1900 miles Its a arid misty region where most
of Perus cities are located, and is mostly
bordered by high cliffs. - Sierra (Andes)- the longest mountain range in the
world 4200 miles Peru also shares control with
Lake Titicaca the highest lake in the world - Selva (Amazon Basin)-the Amazon basin is larger
the Spain, France, and Germany combined, and
covers 60 of Peru

22nd to September 22nd Spring September 23 to
December 21st
The coast of Perus average climate is warm in
the northern region and cooler more south. In
Peru precipitation is very unlikely in the north.
However in the southern locations during the
winter season rain showers are common.

- Peru has about 3,800 animals, and all of those
animals only 9 are identified - The amazons in Peru has an ample amount of
butterflies with about 3,700 different types
known - There are two different types of monkeys that
live in the Peru rain forest - There are about 5,000 types of flowing plants
located in Peru

7Customs and Traditions of Peru
- Peru celebrates some 3,00 festivals a year. They
have blended the Christian calendar and magical
beliefs of ancient forms of worship. Clothing is
also important because it makes an important
distinction as a result of the blend of the
pre-Hispanic influences with the European
clothing that the natives were forced to wear in
the colonial era.

- Two museums that you can find in Peru are the
Pre-Columbian Art Museum, it is located in Plaza
de las Nazarenas in Cuzco. It is well know for
its hall of gold and precious metal crafts,
jewelry in bone and shell, a special hall of
wooden sculptures, and colonial painting hall. - The second museum is Museo de Oro del Peru
(Museum of Peruvian Gold) located in Lema.

Huaca Huallamarca Located in the district of San
Isidro Is a place where Inca had bulit pyrimal
huaca.
- Pachacámac Located at 19.26 miles south of Lima
- This site is where the Inca would have their
ceremonial center
Huaca Pucllana Located in the district of
Miraflores Huaca Pucllana is a ceremonial center
which is dedicated to the God Pachacámac.
