• Does it make a difference if an animal lives in
  the wild, or in the zoo?

• What types of animals live in the zoo?

Student objectives

• The student will learn the role humans play in
  the lives of animals.
• The student will learn the basic needs an animal
  needs to survive.
• The student will be able to learn and identify
  different animals.
• The student will learn how an animal is affected
  by living in the zoo vs. the wild.

Student activites

• Make a scrapbook of your favorite animals.
• The students will find pictures of animals in
  magazines and cut them out to be in their
  scrapbook. For example, one page can be lions,
  monkeys, elephants, etc. This will be a great way
  for us to become more familiar with the animals,
  and be creative at the same time!
• Matching animals
• For each animal at the zoo, there will be a
  laminated picture of the baby and the momma. Each
  student will have a picture of either the baby or
  the momma. Once everyone has a card we will run
  around the room until everyone has found the
  match to their card. We will be matching the
  momma's with their babies. After everyone is
  matched, each pair will say the name of their
  animal and what they like best about the animal.
