3Most crab spiders live in North America and
Europe. They are very common in Tasmania.
Six-eyed crab spiders can live from five to ten
years. There are more than 1,500 crab spiders.
4Crab spiders can pollinate, just like bees. They
have a poisonous bite but it is not harmful to
humans. Before they hatch, crab spiders stay in
the egg for two weeks. Crab spiders cant
balloon. Crab spiders will stay in the same spot
for days, even weeks, when they are trying to
catch prey. Some crab spiders are rare. Female
crab spiders can change from white to yellow. The
scientific name is Thamisus Onustus. They prefer
to be a light color like white or yellow. They
have bright white silk.
5The crab spiders front two legs are often bigger
than the rest. Crab spiders are ready to catch
prey immediately. They kill their prey and suck
it dry. Some like to live in the dark.

spider lays 48 eggs at a time thats a lot of
kids! The eggs are 2mm. Bird eating spiders eggs
are a deep rich yellow.

almost the size of a mans hand! These spiders
dont have teeth - that would save your mom a
trip to the dentist! These spiders are a rusty
brown. So dont kill bird eating spiders because
if you killed all the spiders in the world bugs
would take over the world! So take my advice.

22 Goldenrod spiders are very small. It is hard to
see a little yellow spider on a yellow flower. A
Goldenrod spider is a part of the
Crabspider family. When the spider injects
venom into the prey, the preys insides into
liquid. The name Goldenrod is a flower and
the Goldenrod spider lives in Goldenrod
flowers. They are found in North America.
They are most commonly found in Goldenrod
flowers that attract large insects,
especially in Autumn. These spiders can change
their color! If they are on a white flower, it
will take 10 to 25 days but they will turn white.
If they are on a yellow flower they will turn
yellow.

and Gasteracantha Minax. Gasteracantha Minax
means threatening and projecting. These spiders
are found in tropical regions including Australia

measuring 7mm opposed to the male spider
measuring 4mm. The abdomen is white, yellow and
black.

35A brown recluse Spiders scientific name is
Loxesceles Reclusa. It lives in wood piles,
sheds, closets, garages, cellars and other
places that are dry and generally undisturbed.
They live in the states of Oklahoma and Texas
(Western U.S.A) This spider is not hairy. It can
lay up to 300 eggs.
36Brown recluse spiders are not aggressive. They
only bite if they feel danger. In your house they
hide in dirty clothes, behind pictures and in
cardboard. Sometimes a brown recluse spider bite
can take months to heal and can leave scars. If
you get bit, put an ice pack and Aloe Vera lotion
on the bite.
Sometimes the brown recluse spider is called the
fiddleback spider or the violin spider. They are
usually light tan to brown and only have six
eyes. The brown recluse spider is a web builder
and eats insects.
