27A Note on Canceling or No-Showing for an Interview
- The USF Career Center takes Interview Schedules
very seriously, as they are commitments you make
towards employers. As such, we have Cancellation
and No-Show Policies that you must be aware of - Cancellations
- Five days prior to your interview you may cancel
in Career Connections. - Once the Cancellation option is closed in Career
Connections you must call the Career Center to
cancel at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled
interview. - If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to the
interviews, it is considered a Late
Cancellation or No-Show, which will result in
loss of on-campus interview privileges.
28USF Career Center Policies on No-Shows and Late
Cancellation
- IMPORTANT TO READ AND UNDERSTAND
- SUMMARY Students/alumni who fail to show up for
a scheduled interview and do not notify the
Career Center 24 hours in advance of the
interview will have their Career Connections
account de-activated and their applicant type OCI
removed, which prohibits access to on-campus
interviews. They may remain on schedules already
signed on but will lose the privilege of
participating or signing on any other schedules
for the remainder of the recruiting semester.
They may appeal after the 1st and 2nd no-show as
described below. - Appeal Process
- After the 1st no-show/late cancellation, to
request re-activation of their account the
student must personally meet (no phone reviews
will be accepted) with their career specialist,
who will make the decision on whether to
re-activate their account. - After the 2nd no-show/late cancellation, to
request re-activation the student must personally
schedule a meeting with their career specialist
and the Assistant Director to appeal. The
Assistant Director will make the decision on
whether to re-activate the account - After the 3rd no-show/late cancellation the
student/alumni is removed from participation in
on-campus interviews for the academic year.
However, the director/assistant director reserves
the right to re-activate the students account if
it is believed circumstances warrant such a
decision.
