What is VoIP

• VoIP- Voice over Internet Protocol
• Uses same network cabling as computers
• Calls go out our system to phone service
  provider- McLeod, Qwest, ICN
• Has potential for more features

• By Dec 23- FM Center
• Jan- meetings w/Enrollment Services
• Feb- implement in Enrollment Services
• Summer 2006- Keokuk
• Fall 2006- WB- by department

• Hard to find parts for old
• New systems moving to VoIP
• Currently implemented in part of college

• Calls to MP, FM will be local
• Reduced maintenance cost
• Maintain one network
