The need for mentors
  • In 2000, 32 of U.S. children were born to
    never-married mothers, up from 18 in 1980.
  • Half of all marriages today end in divorce.
  • Men (poor and affluent) are denying their
    children.
  • Women (poor and affluent) are doing without their
    childrens fathers.
  • More than 40 of the children in this country
    live in a home without their fathers.
