- Mission Statement
- The mission of the East Windsor Education
Foundation is to provide a partnership with the
East Windsor community to financially support
innovative educational opportunities and programs
with the East Windsor Public Schools. The
foundation will identify through a grant
application process worthwhile educational
projects and make them a reality through
aggressive fund raising.

- Grants
- The East Windsor Education Foundation provides
grants to educators in the East Windsor Public
Schools. - Proposals for funding should not supplant items
that are covered in the existing town or school
budgets. - The Foundation will consider the following
criteria when reviewing each application
Innovation, Educational Merit, Student Impact and
Sustainability. - In May 2008 the East Windsor Education Foundation
awarded grants purchase audio and large print
books for the Middle School Library and to send
Mark Paradise to a summer workshop.

- Fundraisers
- Geisslers Supermarket is the largest donor.
Since November, 2006 the foundation has collected
Geisslers Supermarket receipts from community
members. Geisslers Supermarket then donates 5
of every receipt over 30.00 excluding tobacco
and alcohol products. - As of October 1, 2007 Geisslers Supermarket had
donated 22,964.59 to the East Windsor Education
Foundation. The foundation would like to express
its appreciation to community members and
Geisslers Supermarket for their continued
generosity and participation. - Drop boxes for Geisslers Supermarket receipts
are located in the East Windsor Town Hall, East
Windsor Senior Center, Warehouse Point Library,
Scantic Church, Enfield Federal Savings Bank in
Broad Brook, Broad Brook Books and Stuff and in
each East Windsor school office.

- Community Spelling Bee on February 6, 2009 at the
EWHS. - Community members can form teams of 3-5 people.
100 entry team per team. - A fun filled competitive evening hosted by Tim
Howes and John Pica-Sneeden - Teams will compete to determine which team is the
best. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the
top teams - More information will be coming
