directions - To use it to change a password for a teacher
begin by opening the program using the desktop
icon that looks like a toolbox with a hammer
8Install ADUC
- Follow this link http//adldcs01/packages\VBPS\A
DUC Customized for CRS's - Click on AdminPak.msi
- Click next and agree to the licensing. One last
click of next and youll see the installation
take place. - That installs a group of utilities used for
managing Active Directory. You have been granted
rights to a specific piece called the Active
Directory Users and Computers. (Super-geeks call
it ADUC for short.) Click Finish when its done.
- Depending on your school, open the appropriate
school folder Elementary School, Middle School
or High School. - In there youll see all the schools listed. Find
yours. This is a file called an MSC. Think of
it as a TEMPLATE that you use to see ADUC
through. This doesnt need to be installed, just
copied to your PC. You may put it wherever you
like on your PC. - Click on your MSC file. When the dialog opens,
choose SAVE and point to the location to which
you wish to save it.

Find objects in active directory. - Click on the dropdown menu and select vbstudents,
not teachers .

choose Properties, right click Wireless, and

- Enter Network Name (look at another laptop)
- Uncheck the box that says The key is provided
for me automatically. - Change Key index to 1.

confirm Network Key. - Click OK reboot and login.

29IE UNFILTEREDINTERNET ACCESS
- At present, CRSs may access downloads.com using
the following instructions and the special login
and password assigned to them. This login and
password should not be shared with anyone. This
is not a separate network login remain logged
into the network as yourself. - Step 1 Start Internet explorer as usual.
- FIRST TIME ONLY!
- Click on Tools
- Select Internet Options
- Click on the Connections tab (at the top)
- Click on the LAN Settings option
- Make sure the Use a proxy server setting is
checked - Click on the advanced button
- Make sure 10.91.100.12 is in each address box
and 8002 is in the first (HTTP) port box - Click OK
- Click OK
- Click OK
- Step 2 Type http//10.91.100.128002/admin in
the location box near the top of the IE screen,
and press enter. - Step 3 Click in the User Name box and type
your I-Gear login name. - Then click in the password box and type your
I-Gear password. - Press tab twice
- Then click on login or press enter.
- NOTE Once logged in you will receive a dialog
box telling you that you have insufficient
permissions. This is normal, just ignore it.

- Start My Computer
- Right click on the CDROM Drive (d\)
- Choose Properties and then click on sharing
- From any computer, you go to Start, Run and type
in two back slashes, the computer name, another
slash, and the drive letter. So if you want to
see whats in a CD drive at Central Academy, you
would type \\HCADI\D where
represents the barcode of the computer with the
shared drive. So you remote into a computer,
type that in, and you get to your CD drive.
