  of sexual exploitation from Eastern Europe,
  Balkans, South America, Nigeria, Thailand

  former Soviet Union are auctioned on blocks and
  sold at an average price of just under 1000
  dollars.
• Greece 40,000 women, most between the ages of 12
  and 25 are trafficked to Greece each year for
  prostitution.

  trafficked each year with estimated profits of
  500 million dollars.
• Chinese women are being sold into the USA for
  brothels in New York and North Carolina then
  forced to work off 40,000 dollars in debt

  debt for their passage by having sex with up to
  500 men.

• Pakistan 461 in two provinces alone died at the
  hands of family members in 2002. Around 372 were
  know to have been killed in 2001. The commission
  added that the actual number of victims was
  probably closer to 800. The death rate is
  growing as women seeking divorce from abusive
  husbands trigger deadly attacks. (Human
  Rights Commission, Pakistan)
• UK At least one woman a month dies from an
  honour killing in Britain. The perpetrators are
  prosecuted. In other countries killers generally
  receive a light sentence or none at all
  (World Net Daily, 09.11.2003)
• More than 13 women each day 5000 a year die
  in honour killings worldwide
