- Oceans are large salt-water bodies connected
across the earth.

Plant-green algae Information-Green algae is one
of 6000 to 7000 species of plants belonging to
the phylum Chlorophyta. Animal-Sea
Turtle Adaptations-Sea Turtles travel great
distances to find the best place to feed and
breed.

The plants get energy from the sun.
The blue whale gets energy from the fish and
krill.
The killer whale gets energy from other fish.
The fish get energy from the plants or other
fish.

- The average temperature of the ocean surface
waters is about 17 degrees Celsius (62.6 degrees
Fahrenheit).
