Movement
  • Movement is a motion or a change in position.
    Movement activates different areas of the brain
    and body, thus increasing the retrieval of
    information later on. Movement assists in the
    development of neuro-pathways, thereby changing
    the way the brain pattern is set. Used
    throughout the day, movement extends concepts and
    skills taught and has the ability to reset
    emotions. More movement creates more connections
    for the brain and improves long-term memory. The
    brain has infinite power to change through
    movement because of the brains plasticity.

  • Read the Significant Knowledge Key Point.
  • Underline key words.
  • Discuss and determine an appropriate body
    movement or gesture to help build meaning for
    each key word.
