What is Prezi?

• Web-based presentation application and
  storytelling tool
• Uses single canvas (non-linear) vs. traditional
  slides (linear)

Benefits Of Using Canvas (non-linear)

• User can zoom in and out of visual map
• Path through different objects and frames can be
  defined (representing order of information to be
  presented)
• Presentation can be developed via web and
  downloaded no Internet connection is required to
  show presentation

How Is Prezi Used?

• Step 1 Double Click anywhere to write
• Step 2 Zoom in to develop your ideas
• Step 3 Use the zebra for structure and size
• Step 4 Add images from the Insert menu
• Step 5 Create your storyline
• Step 6 Click Show to present!

Step 1 Double Click Anywhere To Write

• When creating a Prezi, the canvas is your
  workspace
• Double-click anywhere on canvas to add text to
  jot ideas
• As ideas fill canvas, drag around to create more
  space

Step 2 Zoom In To Develop Ideas

• Once ideas have been added to canvass as text,
  zoom in to ideas to develop them and add more
  text
• Use zoom button (on right of screen) or scroll
  mouse to zoom in and out

Step 3 Use Zebra For Structure and Size

• Arrange your ideas and create hierarchy through
  size
• Click on one of text boxes (striped
  transformation zebra will appear)
• Transformational zebra allows you to move
  (center of zebra), size and scale (inner ring of
  zebra), and rotate objects of any kind (outer
  ring of zebra)

Step 4 Add Images From Insert Menu

• Click Insert on the menu (upper left) and click
  on image you want to use
• Click on image (once it appears on canvas) and
  use zebra to move, size, scale, or rotate
•  
• TIP Before starting, gather images that
  are going to be used in Prezi and place them
  in folder for easy access

Step 5 Create Your Storyline

• Once text and images have been added and
  arranged, add storyline or path
• Use zoom buttons (mouse wheel) to zoom out
  seeing big picture can help determine right path
  for ideas in Prezi
• Click on Path and add your storyline (click on
  parts in order you want to show them)
• To change order of your path (delete all and
  start again or drag unassigned path ball) to the
  object you want to show

Step 6 Click Show to present!

• To enter presentation mode, click on Show and
  step prezi with arrow buttons (keys)
• In show, you can click to zoom in and out of
  ideas at any point and press arrows to get back
  to path
• Publish Prezi from www.prezi.com by clicking on
  it from www.prezi.com/my and clicking publish
• On share tab, you can invite others to view/edit
  prezi, and obtain embed code to add Prezi to your
  blog
