Combining Tummy Tuck and Liposuction Primary
Concern
The primary concern for combining liposuction and
abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) is that by combining
the two procedures, the total expected time under
anesthesia is increased. Anesthesia time should
always be maintained at a safe level that is well
within your state's parameters. The goal is to
minimize the risk of deep venous thrombosis (dvt)
which are blood clots in the veins) and pulmonary
embolism (which can cause sudden death after
surgery). Both conditions have a greater
likelihood with longer operations.

minimized if the two procedures are done at the

often best to remove the fatty deposits using
