WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FEAR GOD?

• REVELATION 147
• Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give
  glory to him for the hour of his judgment is
  come and worship him that made heaven, and
  earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
• LEVITICUS 193
• Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his
  father, and keep my Sabbaths I am the LORD
  your God.

HOW DOES ONE FEAR GOD?

• DEUTERONOMY 134
• Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear
  him, and keep his commandments, and obey his
  voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto
  him.
• PSALM 1119
• He sent redemption unto his people he hath
  commanded his covenant for ever holy and
  reverend is his name.
• EXODUS 207
• Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God
  in vain for the LORD will not hold him guiltless
  that taketh his name in vain.

WHY SHOULD WE FEAR GOD?

• PROVERBS 910, 11
• The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
  wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is
  understanding. For by me thy days shall be
  multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be
  increased.

• Put them in fear, O LORD that the nations may
  know themselves to be but men.
• GENESIS 27
• And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the
  ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath
  of life and man became a living soul.

GOD ALONE! FEARED

• 1 CHRONICLES 1629, 30
• Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his
  name bring an offering, and come before him
  worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Fear
  before him, all the earth the world also shall
  be stable, that it be not moved.
• 2 CHRONICLES 73
• And when all the children of Israel saw how the
  fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon
  the house, they bowed themselves with their faces
  to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped,
  and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good

ANY REASONS WHY WE SHOULD FEAR GOD?

• EXODUS 35, 6 (Holiness)
• And he said, Draw not nigh hither put off thy
  shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon
  thou standest is holy ground. ...I am the God
  of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of
  Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his
  face for he was afraid to look upon God.

• And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we
  have toiled all the night, and have taken
  nothing nevertheless at thy word I will let down
  the net. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down

  this day for thy good?

  man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

HIS WORD?

• He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the
  LORD but he that is perverse in his ways
  despiseth him.

FEAR GOD A FREE OR FORCED WILL?

• HEBREWS 1228, 29
• Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be
  moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve
  God acceptably with reverence and godly fear For
  our God is a consuming fire.
• 2 CORINTHIANS 71
• Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved,
  let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of
  the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the
  fear of God.

2 CORINTHIANS 614-18

• Be ye not unequally yoked together with
  unbelievers for what fellowship hath
  righteousness with unrighteousness? and what
  communion hath light with darkness? And what
  concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part
  hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what
  agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for
  ye are the temple of the living God as God hath
  said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them
  and I will be their God, and they shall be my
  people. Wherefore come out from among them, and
  be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the
  unclean thing and I will receive you, And will
  be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and
  daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

FEAR GOD KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS

• Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter
  Fear God, and keep his commandments for this
  is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring

  thing, whether it be good, or whether it be
