  • Steps to follow

1. Preparation.
  • Brainstorming.
  • Do not begin writing immediately.
  • Use a blank sheet of paper.
  • Write down all the words you would like to
    include in relation to the topic.

  • Linking words.
  • Other topics related to yours.
  • Useful set expressions.
  • Drawing, charts,

  • Write an outline
  • Plan the different aspects you will deal with
    before you begin your topic.
  • This outline will be useful when writing down
    your topic as it will be used as a sort of guide.

2. Layout.
  • Introduction.
  • It will show a general idea about the topic.
  • It will establish the different aspects the topic
    deals with.
  • You can attract the readers attention if this
    introduction is interesting.
  • It should be clear enogh as to show what the
    topic is about.

    will later be developed.
  • It should relate the topic with other topics of
    interest.
  • If the topic is connected with educational
    matters, it should make reference to regulations,
    Laws, etc.

  • They should be clearly divided into paragraphs.
  • These paragraphs should contain different ideas
    Do not initiate a paragraph unless you introduce
    new aspects or ideas.

    sentences.
  • Review the main aspects but not restate them
    exactly.
  • The reader should not make any effort to
    understand what you mean.
  • He/she should never guess what you mean.

  • Look for redundancies, use of precise words,
    synonyms, spelling or grammatical errors.
  • Analyzed if the logical progression in your
    writing is well established.
  • Look for the progression and connection that
    should exist between one aspect and another.
