• MDC has instructed that the new model must
• Attract more new members than current model
• Not erode our existing membership base
• Maintain IEEE prestige
• Not negatively affect IEEE financials

• Previously reported
• Member Value StudyVolunteer Responses
• After seeing the results of the Member Value
  Study in June, President Lightner suggested
  assessing volunteer responses to the same
  questions
• In July, volunteers from the Board of Directors,
  the six Major Boards, and Committees of the IEEE
  Board and the Executive Committee, were asked to
  complete the survey
• 289 were invited to participate, 166 completed
  survey (57 response rate)
