- What is the CDP?
- Series of questions aimed at assessing the needs
and activities of your chapter. - How does the Regional Natl Org. use the CDP?
- Assess chapter activities problems to better
develop programs secure partnerships to service
the members. - Provide you with feedback to improve your
chapter. - Report used to determine the Chapter Excellence
Awards.

- Sub I Define and Measure
- The goal of this CDP is to help chapter leaders
set a plan for the upcoming year. - No plan is complete without a measurable (a way
to rate the goals success). - This CDP shows a chapter where they stand in each
category, should be the catalyst for creating a
solid plan, through healthy discussion amongst
the chapter executive board. - Each chapter should have developed an OGSMR, and
can obtain help with theirs from their regional
counterparts.

- September Define, Measure
- Questions focus on your current status.
- Answers to these questions will help to define
needs of your chapter by measuring your current
status. - Remember to create your plan in a way that will
improve your current statistics. - This also will help you to assess the needs of
your chapter.

- Via this submission, chapters will assess the
current state of their chapter. - This CDP analyzes what a chapter has done, and
depicts areas where the chapter can improve its
functionality. - Chapters are encouraged to have open dialogue
with their regional counterparts, but most
importantly their fellow chapter members
regarding the results of this CDP, as it is a
direct reflection of the chapters shape.

- December Analyze, Improve
- Questions promote discussion action from
chapter leaders. - Questions will help you understand the
measurement of your chapter in part 1. - From analysis, you may need to improve in many
areas. - Update your plan to reflect new methods and
processes.

- Sub III Control
- This CDP reviews what the chapter did throughout
the year. - It identifies quantifies the measures the
chapter submitted in the first submission, notes
changes performed in the second, and seeks to see
what the chapter has in place to ensure that this
year (if good) happens again next year. - Transitioning reporting is highlighted
- Chapters once again are encouraged to have
discussions regarding continuation and
improvement methods

- In this section you will be asked to identify
measures you have put in place to ensure
sustainability and continuous chapter
improvement. - Any questions that you cannot answer in this
section should be a flag that you may not have a
good process in place to be successful next year.

- When is the CDP due?
- These dates will be announced with the official
launch of the CDP taking place on 1 Sept. 2006 - This DOES NOT mean that you have to start the CDP
on that date! Complete it early and the dates
should be no problem.

- How do I use the CDP?
- The CDP should be used to assess your strengths
and weaknesses according to the organizations
foci. - Less than 50 in a category indicates weakness
- Greater than 75 indicates strength
- Allow the questions to guide your planning,
implementation improvements. - Questions indicate an area of interest for NSBE
- Answers to these questions will help you
understand how much you are contributing to the
societys mission

Chair and from chapter officers at other chapters - In areas where you see undesirable numbers or
answers - Share best practices
- Follow the plan that you submit for the first CDP

strategic plan. Use it as a working document
throughout the year. - Remember, this is a
- Chapter Development Program
- NOT just a report.
