2Getting the Right Equipment
- Pick up a transmitter check the number on the
transmitter it has to match the number on the
watch receiver - Pick out a transmitter strap they are sized,
xs, s, m, or l. Yours should be sized to fit you
snugly!

4Wearing the E600 Heart Rate Monitor
- Place the watch receiver on either wrist, so you
can read it. - Place the strap on the transmitter by pushing the
end buttons through the holes , and wrap it
around your waist.
5Wearing the E600 Heart Rate Monitor
- Put the strap and transmitter under your shirt,
so it touches your skin.
- Pull the transmitter and strap up so it is very
close to your heart. Adjust the slides on the
strap if you need to tighten or loosen it.
6Starting Your E600 Heart Rate Monitor
- You will have to wet the transmitter to enable it
to begin the transmission of your pulse. - Sometimes its necessary to rewet or tighten the
strap.
7Starting the Watch Receiver
- When your teacher tells you to, you will push the
red button to activate the receiver-the heart on
the watch starts beating and your heart rate
number appears. - You will then push the red button again to start
your exercise heart rate time.
8Problems and Some Solutions if your Monitor isnt
Working
- Are you close to someone else who is wearing a
monitor? GET AWAY! - Is your transmitter damp? You may have to wet it
again. - Is your transmitter tight enough on your body?
You may have to adjust it. - Are your watch and transmitter the same number?
9While Youre Participating
- Check your watch receiver every now and then to
make sure its still showing a beating heart and
your pulse number. - If your watch starts beeping, you will probably
need to start moving more! Your pulse may be too
slow (or too fast).
10At the end of class, what do you do with
everything?
- Go to the place where your teacher tells you to
turn everything in. - Push the red button to stop the transmission. Put
the watch receiver in the matching number pocket
on the carrier.

- Wash and wipe off the transmitter, and put it in
the matching number pocket on the carrier. - Return the strap to the matching size pouch in
the carrier.

- Heart rate monitors will show you and your
teacher how much exercise your heart is getting.

- The receiver will beep to let you know if you are
working with enough, or too much intensity.
