5Step 1 - Beginning
Carefully cut square pattern from plastic or
cardboard to make a template.

6Step 2- Drawing Pattern Pieces
Trace squares on the wrong side of the fabric
using a sharp pencil. Be sure to leave a seam
line around each square.

7Step 3 -Piecing the Pattern
Lay out the pattern and begin to sew the blocks
together. Be careful to match up the seam lines.

8Step 4 - Complete the Block
Complete enough rows for the project. Stitch the
rows together and press the seams to one side.

9Step 5 - Layering the Quilt
Cut batting and backing to size and pin or baste
all layers together.

- Quilt across the rows of squares.
- Bind the edges together.
