Choose and Book

• An electronic system which enables
• Choice of Provider
• Booking appointments at the Patients convenience
• The GPs Role
• To identify what the patient needs (clinically)

Negotiating Choice

• Once the GP has identified what service the
  patient needs, the patient can negotiate a
  convenient place, date and time that they want
• They can do this with
• The Choose and Book Appointments Line
• A Patient Choice Adviser
• A Member of Practice Staff
• Or
• The GP

Choice Information

• Whoever is negotiating Choice with the patient
  can access a range of information, once the GP
  has identified which services are appropriate.
