Why did we do this?

• Bottom line to save time and resources
• Did not want to use the access process
• Submitted XML files for the 2000 and 2001
  information
• Volunteered to test the NEI v3.0 schema and
  submit the 2002 information

How did we do this?

• Generating a sample XML file and mapping our data
  to the sample
• Taking small steps and achieving little
  increments of success, repetition
• Support from the CDX and NEI teams.

What did it take?

• Persistence and Patience
• Testing the schema and header while trying to
  generate the XML document
• Changing some of our values to NEI values/codes
  or creating a crosswalk
• Repeated validation attempts until the instance
  document was correct

What did we learn?

• Each of the 8 groups must have the same key field
  entry
• All codes must match the NEI v3 code tables
• Must remove trailing blanks/spaces
• Must use 000 for control equipment if none exists
• Primary efficiency must have a value of 0.00 if
  no other value
