Offshore Developments in 2007

• Grid regulation in force TSO responsible for
  connection
• Alpha ventus grid connection underway
• 400 MW substation ordered by E.ON Netz
• Feed-In tariff evaluated by federal government in
  2007
• Current feed-in tariff too low (0,09 / kWh) due
  to rising prices (steel, turbines) and too
  optimistic technical/economical assumptions
• Minister Gabriel announced
• Government intends to increase offshore feed-in
  tariff
• Tariff bandwith 0,11-0,15 / kWh proposed
• Cabinet decision on tariff height in December
  2007 (part of general discussion on Renewable
  Energies Act EEG)
• New offshore tariff from 10/2008

Turbine Prototype and Production Development - I

• M5000 Turbine
• 5 MW, special design for offshore
• Single stage robust planetary 110 gear
• Special air conditioning system using tower as
  overpressure chimney
• Comparatively low nacelle weight of approx. 300
  tonnes
• First turbine is operating since December 2004
• 3,000 m² heavy-lift manufacturing facility ready
• Series production in Bremerhaven started in 2007
• Aquisition of 51 stake by AREVA
