11Differences of Circumstance between Fuel and
Petrochemicals
12Plans for Increasing of Ethylene and Propylene
More than 37,000KT Ethylene will newly
come out after 2008.
Compare to ethylene production,
propylene production would not so fast
even in the near future.
13Chance of Bio Ethanol in Petrochemical Business
Bio ethanol would maintain its price because of
booming demand from fuel use. From economical
point of view, use of bio ethanol as PE feedstock
seems to face greater hurdles. On the other
hand, use of bio ethanol as feedstock for
propylene-related products would have a much
better chance of realizing. Development of
transformational technologies from bio ethanol to
propylene with great efficiency should be
fundamental.
