sound words to our stories. - Do you know what this is called?
- Thats right! Sound words are called onomatopoeia.
3Thump, Quack, Moo
- Turn to the person sitting next to you and see if
you can remember some of the sound words in
Thump, Quack, Moo.
4Lets add onomatopoeia together!
One sunny morning, Mrs. Morales and her class
got on a bus to go on a field trip to the zoo.
The students buckled their seat belts and the
bus began moving. On the way to the zoo, the
students sang songs. When they got to the zoo,
the class fed the sheep special feed in the
petting zoo. After that, they went to the monkey
exhibit. The monkeys were eating bananas and
one threw the peel at Mrs. Morales. Then they
got to take a train ride through the zoo and
back to the bus. They had so much fun! On the
way home, the students were so tired from their
busy day that they all fell asleep.
5Now, its your turn!

your story today.
