grass roots group of volunteers who are
dedicated to the protection and enhancement of
the North Raccoon River and its watershed.

Perry Boatramp Cleanup
  • In the spring of 2005 Don Propst and his Clean
    River Team helped the NRWA organize a cleanup of
    the Perry boatramp.
  • Thirty volunteers hauled 3 dump truck loads of
    trash from the site.

  • The NRWA is interested in preserving what is left
    of the natural beauty and diversity of the
    watershed. There is a great deal of native
    woodland and prairie plant and animal live for
    protect.

  • In 2005 the NRWA embarked on an assessment of the
    watershed
  • A team of five explored the upper reaches of the
    Raccoon in Buena Vista and Sac Counties.
  • Don Propst surveyed the trash problem for a later
    cleanup effort.
