Citrix Roaming Process (before XyLoc)

• Citrix allows each user to connect to their own
  unique set of applications, by logging in with a
  username password
• An idle timer is used to disconnect the user
• If timer is set too short, user may be
  disconnected while still at the desk, requiring
  an additional log in
• If timer is set too long Roaming may not be
  possible
• There is no security while idle timer is counting
  down, so another user may get access to the first
  users session
• Roaming user may be locked out if trying to log
  in to his open session from another PC, but is
  not yet disconnected from the first PC

XyLoc Application Integration

• XyLoc AI Toolkit is used to write scripts to
  automate the auto launch and disconnect for an
  open session
• The script ties the users unique set of
  credentials to these sequences
• The scripts and the users credentials are stored
  separately on the XyLoc Security Server (XSS)
• Two integration possibilities
• 1.) Published Applications
• 2.) Published Desktop

Citrix XyLoc Roaming Process

• XyLoc with Application Integration adds
  convenience and security to roaming
• Authorized user may simply select username from a
  list (a single digit pin, a longer password, or
  fingerprint biometrics may be added for stronger
  security)
• When user steps out of the Active Zone, the PC
  screen and desktop immediately locks
• Provides immediate security from unauthorized
  access and viewing
• Upon locking, a short timer begins to count down
  to disconnect
• A new authorized user may immediately access the
  PC, as this automatically disconnects the first
  user session from that PC
• The first user can quickly gain access to his
  desktop at a different PC
