Many conferences have poster sessions. For
example, at Waterloo the Graduate Student
Research Conference 3 hasboth oral and poster
presentations. If you already know PowerPoint
there are only a few new things to learn in order
to create a poster!
3. Turn on grids and guides (View menu)

4. Insert (a lot) of text boxes. Edit them,
and format them

• Launch Microsoft PowerPoint, and choose
• Blank Presentation and Blank Slide.

6. Insert pictures, e.g. UW logo 2.
