Online maps offer great functionality, but only
useful for finding directions for point A to
point B. Tourist maps with points of interests
are common on paper, but not online.

4Introduction
Combining little of both, we have an interactive
map with animated features - clickable points
of interest (POI) - animated paths from one
point to another - photos/sound/video -
information (basic text)
5Introduction
The functionality of the map is
important. However, the focus is on the EDITOR.
The editor will allow users to graphically add,
remove, edit objects on the map without the need
to write blocks of code.
6Goals Objectives
To create a user interface that is capable of
modifying the maps objects. Hypothetically,
the map editor should work for any map having
similar structure.
7Audience?
User interface designed for a programmers
perspective (editing) However, this does not
mean user must have extensive knowledge of code.
Interface should be simple enough for the
average person to use.
8Implementation
Using components from Adobe Flash and utilizing
ActionScript and Javascript, together it should
combine and produce a functioning editor.
9Functionalities
Recap of intended functionalities POIs can
be added/removed/edited Paths can be edited to
add/remove new POI along itself - Remove
entire paths (with POIs along
itself) Generate preview map before final OK

Preview pictures/movies/sounds Save changes and
update current map.
