Starting Off
  • You will be in groups of 4
  • If there are only 3 members in your group, one
    member is going to have to play two hands
  • Materials
  • Deck of Cards (24)
  • One Die
  • One Overhead Marker
  • One Sheet of Paper (Per Person)
  • Calculator (if you have one)

How to Play
  • Before you start
  • Calculate the Average number for the whole deck
  • Add all the numbers in the deck and divide by 24.

How to Play One Hand
  • Shuffle the deck
  • Deal 6 cards to each group member
  • Each member will add all the numbers of their
    cards to get a total
  • Write the totals on your sheet
  • Do Group A or Group B Assignments

Group A Assignment
  • Two Highest Numbers Survive
  • Two Lowest Numbers Die off
  • Members with the lowest numbers will change all
    the numbers on their cards to the numbers of the
    members with the highest numbers

How to Play One Hand (cont)
  • Put all the cards back into the deck and shuffle
  • Randomly take ONLY 2 cards out for the whole
    group
  • Roll the die once for each card
  • The number on the die corresponds with a value
    change in the card (see playing game sheet)
  • Change the values on the card (ex rolling a 3
    would mean adding 2 to the card value)
  • Collect all the cards and reshuffle
  • That completes one hand of play
  • Repeat 20 times

How to Play IMPORTANT!!!
  • After 5th,10th,20th hands recalculate average
  • (add numbers up and divide by 24)
