• Zenobia was born with the name Iulia Aurelia
  Zenobia.
• She had a father named Zabaii ben Selim.
• She was born and raised in Palmyra, Syria.
• Her mother might have been an Egyptian.

• Zenobia was beautiful and intelligent.
• She had a dark complexion and pearly white.
• She also had sparkling black eyes.
• Zenobia had a strong and melodic voice.
• She also knew the languages Greek, Aramaic,
  Egyptian, and Latin.

Marriage

• Zenobia married King of Palmyra Septimius
  Odaenathus as his second wife.
• She had a son named Lucius Iulius Aurelius
  Septimius Vaballathus Athenodorus which means
  Gift of the Goddess
• Her husband was assassinated in 267 and she took
  the throne.

Her Rein

• During her rein she concurred Asia Minor, Syria,
  Palestine, and Lebanon.
• She violently took over Egypt.
• She also concurred new territories and extended
  the Palmyrene Empire.
• She became known as a Warrior Queen.
• Her rein ended when she lost to Emperor Aurelian
  and appeared in his triumph parade in golden
  chains.

The end of Zenobia

• She was freed, granted a villa, and married a
  Rome governor.
• They had several daughters together and her son
  died a few before she was freed.
• Her death is unreported and there are thoughts
  of how Zenobia might have committed suicide this
  is unlikely.
