Introduction
Software Analysis and Design
- As long as companies are making marketing
decisions well ahead of the time they launch
their products, there will always be
overstock/excess inventory. - Many of the name brand fashion, apparel, shoes,
and accessories companies catering to the 18 to
35 year old Generation Y demographic have no safe
outlets to move through their off-price
inventory. - These companies are extremely careful about who
they allow to sell this merchandise, helping them
to prevent sales channel pollution. - Unfortunately because of this, manufacturers
either sell to an outlet where their brand might
sit on shelves for months at a time at an off
price, or they have older inventory collecting
dust/taking up valuable space in their
warehouses.

The goal of this project is to build an
e-commerce application, uFUSS.com, that allows
uFUSSs manufacturing partners the ability to
move through their off-price merchandise in such
a way that prevents the risk of sales channel
pollution.

Lessons Learned
- How to work with a sponsor/client.
- How to work in a diversified group.
- How important communication and organization is
in a team project. - Not to be afraid of taking on new challenges such
as learning a new language. - To not be afraid of trying out new ideas, and to
always try to keep your head up when starting a
new business as it may not succeed as quickly as
you would like it to.
