• They went Northwest overland to the Black Sea,
  then the Mediterranean Sea. Polo sailed south
  from Venice, Italy in the Mediterraneaon Sea to
  the middle east.
• When Polo was 17 years old, he traveled to Asia
  with his father and uncle. He traveled farther
  into China than any other European had gone
  before.
• In 1928, there was a conflict between Venice and
  Genoa. Polo was captured by the Genoese and
  imprisoned him.
