to hold events promoting parent/child
communication with the Coalitions support and
guidance

Teen Pregnancy Prevention Week
NCCAP launches Teen Pregnancy Prevention Week in
May 1991
The week became so popular that it became an
entire month of awareness and education
NCCAPs observance is the precursor to the
National Day coordinated by The National Campaign
to Prevent Teen Pregnancy

Summer Institute for Family Life Education
NCCAP and UNC-Charlotte collaborate to provide
adolescent sexuality education training for
providers, particularly teachers
INSTITUTE
The Institute sends well-equipped persons back
into their communities teaching accurate and
current information to teens

1994
NCCAP changes its name to APPCNC
The newsletter changes from The Network to The
