- Regarding the issue of paid training leave.
Unfortunately no agreement - The effort continues
3Belgium (CMB / CCMB / ACLVB) result of sectoral
agreement Apr. 2007
- Training efforts at company level to be
increased - From 2008 individual training curriculum (blue
collar worker) - Certain companies required to make training plans
and discuss them with union representatives
4Denmark (CO-industri) result of latest CB round
Feb. 2007
- Right to two weeks additional vocational training
of own choice per year - Competency fund established to finance this
training
5Germany (IG Metal) collective agreement on
training, spring 2006 (1)
- Right of each employee to an annual consultation
about his individual need for training and about
appropriate measures to meet that need. - Definition of types of qualification
- Measures to maintain the qualification to keep
abreast with the continuous progress of the
knowledge in a special field (professional,
methodological, social aspects of skills) - Measures to adjust the existing qualification to
a new and different requirement - Measures to retrain for a new job within the
company, due to the retrenchment of the old job

- Members of NITO entitled to meeting with leader
concerning individual need for training - Companies are requested to arrange system for
documentation of the members experience

- Is the timing correct for launching the 2nd
common demand? - What is in favour and what is against?
- What about the ongoing demand?
