• Flexible approach
• Reporting of one priority at a time
• No real indicators or benchmarks
• Separate from the Lisbon process

EFTA/EEA involvement

• No participation in the OMC so far
• Are invited to participate in the reporting
  exercise for the Better knowledge priority
  deadline October 2008
• Will be invited to the next peer learning
  exercise (Theme and time to be defined probably
  2009)
• Will be invited to the next expert group on
  Recognition of non-formal learning (Nov 2008)

EFTA/EEA involvement -Structured dialogue

• Are invited to participate in the Structured
  dialogue with young people
• Financial support through the Youth in Action
  programme
• The theme for 2008 Future challenges for young
  people
• The outcomes of the debates will feed into the
  discussion at European level and contribute
  ultimately to the definition of the new European
  policy cooperation framework
