  • SHAs to validate data for October
  • Very poor data quality
  • Original source of some of it is unclear
  • Where source is obvious why is it being
    misreported
  • Full implementation in November

  • Birmingham Childrens still expected to be first
    acute (Late October-on Damadian)
  • Cluster/CSC Erlanger lock-in to focus on
    Acute/Early deployments showstopper issues
    focus on c40 fixes necessary
  • Currently expect Erlanger around 21/10
    deployable from 7/11
  • Several Planning rounds underway to fix go-live
    dates for Erlanger
  • Worcester Community currently second
  • First big acute January 2006
  • Fleming BKM now unclear to me (was 04/01/2006)

  • Cluster group to prioritise LHC GP Upgrades has
    been set up weekly telecon/monthly meeting
  • GPSS upgrades starting to happen but not
    necessarily those the NHS requested
  • LHCs need to constantly update Mani Dhesi (MD) on
    local priorities for GP system upgrades
  • New End-point registration process backlog
    decreasing escalate specifics to MD
  • WMS bookings increasing Hereford/Coventry

  • National First Line Support Service (FLSS)
    procurement on-going
  • Pilot work commenced around direct connection
    between Local and CSC Service Desks

  • The latest CfH Stakeholder Communications
    Toolkit issued (Sept.)
  • Porter Novelli campaign materials (for staff)
    currently being distributed.
  • DVD available on NHS CRS available via
    orderline.

  • Integrated Service Improvement Plans (ISIP)
  • Submitted
  • Provisional Evaluation of drafts indicates WMS
    ISIPS will be OK
  • Completed ISIPS still outstanding for-

  • Updated ISIPs and Benefits realisation plans by
    March 2006

Secondary Uses Service (SUS)
  • CfH have clarified that SUS will now be
    implemented in a phased way - phase 1 was due to
    start at the end of July
  • SUS training taking place now
  • Extra information provided to organisations
    (particularly Worcs) which had difficulties
    around registration of SUS leads hopefully
    sorted

  • No update

Electronic Transmission of Prescriptions (ETP)
  • Phased approach now adopted
  • National rollout is beginning
  • iSoft Synergy/Lloyds initial implementation
    will happen in North Warks
  • Limited functionality in phase 1
  • Bar-coding on prescription
  • Record stored on national database
  • Technically enables Practices Pharmacies

Supplier Attachment Scheme (SAS)
  • Sarah Patrick (SHA) working with nominated
    contacts
  • SAS remains a significant financial risk issue
    for LHCs in 05/06
  • LHCs now putting forward candidates
  • 4 so far across SHA
  • no Hereford or South Warks yet discussions
    continue

Registration Authority
  • SHAs now more involved in card distribution/stock
    management
  • No overall card shortage, contrary to some
    reports

  • Capital allocations confirmed and process for
    getting them
  • Returns for obtaining CfH Implementation funding
    (the 84m) sent to Cluster
  • CfH recently required revised return
  • SHA recasting original LHC submissions
