What is Global warming?

• An increase in the average temperature of the
  earth's atmosphere, especially a sustained
  increase sufficient to cause climatic change.

Effects on land and sea

• Land
• Factories cut down trees to produce oil.
• Rip up forests that take 100 of years to
  reproduce.

• Sea
• Oil spills (kills animals)
• Contaminates water for surrounding people
  (natives etc.)
• Kills fishies

  cement blocks to keep the ever rising sea levels
  from approaching the community.

• Mainly effects water animals
• Fish (mercury from oil spills)
• Polar animals (land melting away, swimming)
• Mating seasons get shifted
• Food is decreasing

• Two polar bears swimming for long
  distances.They get very tired and tragedy may
  strike.

Simple Ways To Help

• 1. Do not leave appliances on standby.
• 2. Dont let heat escape from your house over a
  long period.
• 3. Cover your pots while cooking.

• 4. Use the washing machine or dishwasher only
  when they are full.
• 5. Take a shower instead of a bath.
