- The Lowdown on Main South Dining
- Brisa Tropical Caribbean Cuisine, Main South
Style - Right next to Uncle Sams and across the
street from Store 24 is Main Souths best kept
secret. - Where else can you get an empanada, chicken
tamale and plantain turnover for three dollars? - Brisa Tropical is delicious, inexpensive and
practically on campus. The food is a combination
of - tastes mainly from El Salvador and Puerto Rico,
similar to (but not the same as) Mexican food. - If you feel safer around plain food you can still
eat well here but if you want to feast on
something - new youre really in luck. The menu also includes
unique juices. Now, your drink may be served via -
solo cup, but youll leave with your stomach and
your wallet stuffed. -
Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you cant go wrong
with Brisa Tropical.
Dining on chicken and enchiladas, Deena Zakim
and Erin Burns - Maine found that the price of
great taste is one dollar at Brisa Tropical.
Right on.

Local Secret 23 Cobblers Still Exist
The business you always needed, but never found.
Central Shoe Have you ever worn your new
interview shoes to the Blarney and realized in
the morning that you snapped the plastic thing
off the heel? Did your leather belt break? (We
wont ask how). Are your shoes making obnoxious
clanking sounds when you walk? Dont buy new
ones, head down to Central Shoe. These guys know
their shoes. Dont be fooled by the shabby-chic
look, these guys are careful with your shoes.
They fixed my shoes while I waited, it took
five minutes. They filled in the scuffs free of
charge. I paid 8 and was impressed with the
quality and speed of their work. My shoes looked
brand new, and Blarney-free.
