The Hortons Holiday Wish

The Reason for the Season

• 2003 has been a year of ups and downs mostly
  ups, but a few downs and despite it all the big
  Fish, the Great I Am, our Lord and Savior, and
  our Father in Heaven has been with us through it
  all. Asbury United Methodist Church is our well
  from which we revitalize ourselves on Sunday and
  here we are with some fish we made to advertise
  bible school.

Mom dad

• So when you are young your Mom Dad send
  pictures of you to all their friends turn
  about is fair play ? Mom (Horton) was diagnosed
  with cancer this year one of those down times,
  but she seems to be responding well to treatment
  an up!! Dad is still dad.

The West Virginia parents are doing well this
year. if you dont ask Mom about her foot or Dad
about his golfing! They are both wonderful as
ever and have been generously helping us to car
shop. (My dad actually likes that sort of
thing..go figure!!)

Jay

• Another up
• Jay and Faith keep us young as we continue to
  chase after them in their activities. Jay seems
  to enjoy gymnastics, singing in the childrens
  choir at church, and piano. As a second grader
  he is doing well and we could not be prouder of
  our little boy.
• In his spare time he teaches-torments-and
  educates Faith in his self created school. If
  she wont listen, learn, or play he attempts to
  educate the dog Dart.

Faith

• Here she is Ms. America age 4, 5 as of
  November. She is the apple of her daddys eye.
  He could not be prouder of her one moment and the
  next the red in daddys eye is a result of one
  energetic, strong willed, soccer playing, choir
  singing, brother tormenting, sand box loving,
  parent cuddling, preschool attending girl who
  makes being a parent all worth while.

Michelle, Dart brett

• The rest of the family has been up as well.
  Michelle is a mom-of-moms. When she is not
  chasing after the kids, taking care of the house,
  or keeping me in line she is huh I dont know
  what she does in her spare time but I will be
  sure to ask her and let you know next year.
• You would think I would know after being married
  almost 10 years but ignorance is bliss and the
  past 10 have been more blissful than I could have
  ever imagined, hoped for, or prayed for thank
  you for being my best friend.

In Summary

• What? You think I could actually do a whole
  presentation and not have a conclusion. If you
  were in my class at James Madison U I would dock
  your grade by 10 for not having a conclusion.
• The Hortons of Virginia wish you and yours a
  Merry Christmas filled with the grace of God and
  a New Year filled with the hope for things to
  come.
